β
Item & distractor analysis
See exactly which question β and which wrong answer choice β is tripping students up, down to the item, not just the standard.
π
Standards that fail together
Co-occurrence detection flags standards that tend to break down together, so reteaching targets the root cause.
πΆοΈ
Presenter mode
Redact real names instantly β safe to project in a PLC meeting or on a shared classroom screen.
π
Class roster manager
Save, name, and reopen unlimited classes β each remembers its own data, thresholds, and AI insights.
π
"What changed" diff view
Re-upload corrected or updated data and see exactly which students and standards moved since last time.
β¦plus rubric scoring, subgroup equity gaps, seating charts, goal tracking, growth timelines, and more once you're in.
Step two
Bring in your gradebook
Upload one or more spreadsheets of student scores by standard. Not sure how to format it? Start from the template below.
Fill it in, delete the sample rows, then upload it below.
Name this class Helps you tell classes apart later, and lets AI Insights tailor its language to the right grade and subject.
Track additional subgroups (optional) List any other Y/N columns from your spreadsheet you want compared in the Subgroups tab β beyond EB/SPED. Match the exact column names, comma-separated. Set this before uploading (or re-upload after changing it).

What Ledger looks for in your columns:
A Student ID and Student Name column (or the first two columns, if unlabeled). Every other numeric column β e.g. 3.2A, Reading.Main Idea, Standard 4 β is treated as one standard's score (0β100). Optional columns named Period, EB, or SPED unlock extra filtering. An Overall column will be used as the composite score; otherwise Ledger averages the standard columns for you.
For item-level analysis: add columns named Q1, Q2, Item 1, etc. β optionally tagged with a standard like Q1 (3.2A). Values can be the answer choice selected (A, B, Cβ¦), a 0/1 correct flag, or a partial-credit rubric score (e.g. 0β4). For rubric items, add the max points to the header β Q5 (4pts) or Q5/4 β so Ledger scales it correctly; otherwise it's inferred from the highest score seen. Add a DOK level the same way, comma-separated from the standard β Q3 (3.5C, DOK2) β to unlock the DOK-by-standard breakdown. To unlock distractor analysis on answer-choice items, add one row with KEY in the Student ID or Name column containing the correct answer for each question.
Step two
Build your timeline
Add each assessment in order and give it a label β "Unit 1," "Pre-Test," "EOC Mock 1." Upload one or more spreadsheets per assessment to combine class sections.
Use the same format for every assessment in your timeline.
Name this class Helps you tell classes apart later, and lets AI Insights tailor its language to the right grade and subject.
Add at least two assessments with data to continue.
What Ledger looks for in your columns:
Same as reporting period mode β a Student ID/Student Name column and numeric standard columns. Ledger matches students by ID across assessments to compute growth.
π― Goal progress
Percent of students Meets or above, against your target.
Performance distribution
How the class breaks down across performance bands.
π΄ Weakest standards
Below the weak-standard threshold β candidates for reteach.
π’ Strongest standards
At or above the strong-standard threshold.
